Report any abusive or offensive behavior.
All Uplatypus users have the ability to block and completely eliminate any chats you have with someone who you feel is not right for you. If you encounter negative interactions, use offensive language, or conduct themselves in an inappropriate way, if they solicited you or tried to sell you goods or services, please report these abuses of our platform immediately.
Let friends and family know your plans -
Tell them when and where you are going, who you are meeting, and make sure your cellphone is fully charged.
End the date if you feel uncomfortable or pressured in any way.
If you are at a restaurant or some other public space where others are around you, don’t be afraid to let people know what’s going on and ask someone for help if you need it.
Make plans for your own transportation.
Whether you are driving yourself or using a rideshare app, don’t get in a car with someone who are you just meeting for the time. Don’t rely on that person for your transportation needs until you get to know them well.
Don't leave food, drinks or your personal items unattended.
